ITC-SA condemns gender-based violence & calls for swift, decisive government action

The Institute for Timber Construction South Africa (ITC-SA) has borne witness, alongside a mournful South Africa, to the ever-increasing heinous acts, including abuse, assault, rape and murder, carried out against the women and children of South Africa.

The Institute condemns gender-based violence in the strongest terms and calls on government not only to take a strong stance on this national crisis, but to match this with swift and decisive action that will both address the immediate emergency at hand, and tackle, in a sustainable manner, the social ills at its roots.

We stand in solidarity with the people of South Africa who have long had enough of the violence and abuse that persist in eroding our hard-won freedoms, and raise the spirit of Ubuntu in each and every one of us to embody the values of compassion and humanity in all that we do.
