The System members contract with the ITC-SA to ensure that specified minimum Engineering and other technical support is provided to any Fabricators that they may licence with their software.
This ensures that specified minimum technical standards are met by all ITC-SA Fabricator members and assists Professional Engineers in assessing rational designs of roofs erected by ITC-SA Fabricator members.
To qualify as a ITC-SA company System member, an applicant is required to provide independent expert documented evidence that their software generates designs that are fully compliant with all applicable SANS standards, that they are able to supply all associated joiners for their software in compliance with all applicable SANS standards and that they are able to supply contracted minimum service levels to their licensees.
Before confirmation of the set requirements, the System Software Developer will be referred to as a Probationary System Software Developer.
The final pre-requisite for recognition by the ITC-SA will be an independent audit and testing conducted by an independent competent person recognized by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the ITC-SA.
