Roof Erectors Course
Endorsed by the Institute for Timber Construction South Africa (ITC-SA), this industry-recognised course equips participants with the skills needed to safely and efficiently erect timber roof trusses to professional standards. Aligned with South African building regulations and best practices, the training promotes
safety, quality workmanship, and job readiness — empowering learners to build with excellence and grow their opportunities in the construction industry.
This programme combines foundational knowledge with advanced technical expertise through a blend of theoretical learning and practical workplace application. Learners will benefit from hands-on, site-based activities aimed at supporting the completion of required logbooks and strengthening occupational competence.
Programme Details
Programme Commencement Date: 6 July 2026
Phase 1: Core Learning Modules
Module 1: Introduction to Roofing Operations
Module 2: Safety, Risk Management, and Structural Stability
Module 3: Plans, Materials, and Structural Behaviour
Upon successful completion of Modules 1–3, learners will qualify as a Category C Roof Erector.
Phase 2: Advanced Occupational Development
The following modules are delivered through progressive micro-learning interventions designed to develop advanced workplace competencies:
Module 4: Structural Roof Awareness, Roof Geometry, Layout Interpretation, and Complex Roof System Behaviour
Module 5: Structural Stability, Load Transfer, Bracing Systems, Reinforcement, and Concentrated Load Behaviour During Erection
Module 6: Inspection, Verification, Defect Identification, Quality Assurance, Erection Sequencing, and Occupational Decision-Making
Capstone Practical Project
Learners will complete a live integrated roof erection project, applying the knowledge, inspection techniques, and structural awareness acquired throughout Modules 4–6.
Successful completion of this phase will result in qualification as a Category B Endorsed Roof Erector.
Category A Endorsement
The elite Category A Endorsed Roof Erector designation is managed as an independent programme with a separate fee structure. For those interested, we offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathways, which we can discuss during a personal consultation.
Programme Fees and Payment Options
The standard programme fee is R45,000 (excluding VAT).
To secure your place, an enrolment fee of R5,250 is payable upon registration. The remaining balance may be settled through one of our flexible payment options over a maximum period of three months.

R25,875 per month (Includes a 10% premium on the base balance; Total: R54,000)
Plan C
R17,250 per month (Includes a 20% premium on the base balance; Total: R56,250)
All payment plans include VAT at 15%.
