AUDIT PURPOSE
The purpose of the audit is to test a fabricators compliance with applicable SANS standards and System licence requirements. The format of the audit can only achieve a grading equivalent to the Roof Category grading of the highest graded Certified Timber Roof Truss Designer, in good standing with the ITC-SA , in their employ at the time of the audit.
REGRADING
Should a fabricator not receive the Score they had anticipated then the reason for the lower score will be discussed with the fabricator. Should the fabricator so choose, they may take corrective action to address the identified shortcomings and request a “Close Out Finding” which may result in an increased score should the corrective action be demonstrated to have been implemented.
DEFAULT FAILURE
There are certain critical elements of the audit that if not met will result in a default failure. Should there be a default failure finding then no grading will reflect on the audit score. The full reason for the default finding will discussed with the fabricator. The Licencing System and ITC-SA will be informed. It is expected that a fabricator take immediate corrective action to rectify the cause of the default failure. If further training is required then this should be requested from the System. There will be a follow up “Close Out Finding” as soon as practicably possible to complete the audit and verify that corrective action was implemented.
