National Home Builder Registration Council (NHBRC) Inspectors were treated to a hands-on micro-training session with Ernest Prinsloo, Western Cape Regional Coordinator of the Institute for Timber Construction South Africa (ITC-SA) last month. The Inspectors were taken on a tour of various timber homes under construction in the Cape region to gain insights and pointers regarding timber frame housing and the inspection thereof, especially during the construction phase.
The training session was very successful and represents a highly personalised support mechanism of the ITC-SA in ensuring best practice along the timber frame building value chain.
