The Institute for Timber Construction South Africa (ITC-SA), South Africa’s SAQA-accredited professional body, safeguarding the engineered timber construction industry for over 45 years, wishes to emphasize that its training certificates are to be earned through the right channels and that employers should follow due diligence in validating potential employees’ certifications.

“The ITC-SA will investigate further security measures on its certification system,” says Amanda Obbes, ITC-SA General Manager, adding, “Further to this, we encourage anyone in the trade who wishes to enhance their professional profiles to do the work, get their training certificates through the right channels and to stay away from suspect back channels. Employers are urged to check in with the original issuer on the validity of potential employees’ certifications.”

Companies or recruiters looking to verify any ITC-SA training certificates or other certifications to please mail their queries to enquiries@itc-sa.org.
