Erection and bracing of timber roofs

In pursuance of its mission to raise standards through Development and Supportive Enforcement of Technical, Quality and Ethical Standards, the Institute for Timber Construction (ITC-SA) is represented on all the SA Bureau of Standards (SANS) Committees responsible for the drafting of specifications and codes of practice or amendments to such codes which have any form of impact related to, or affected by, timber roof structures.

The ITC-SA was influential in creating the SANS 10243 Code of Practice for the Manufacturing and Erection of Timber Trusses.

In support of this document, two Roof Erector’s Handbooks have been produced.
