NON-VALIDATED CPD ACTIVITIES
The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) warns members that certain providers are impersonating the ECSA brand by advertising continuous professional development (CPD) points on activities that the Council has not validated.
These unscrupulous providers are extorting money from unsuspecting ECSA registered persons. Before registering and paying for a CPD activity, remember that:
- All activities validated for the ECSA CPD programme are on ECSA’s website.
- The validation number of the CPD activity can be obtained from the activity provider or the marketing material of the activity.
- Verify the validity of the activity by going to https://engineeringcouncilsa.microsoftcrmportals.com/cpd-activities/. Use the validation number in the search field.
- If no information is available, the activity is not validated and cannot be recorded under Category 1: Development Activities.
